This is a virtual tour of the Hartman Prehistoric Garden at the Zilker Botanical Garden. Fossils were discovered on the grounds of Zilker Botanical Garden in 1992, and a garden was constructed on the site, dedicated to representing the types of plants that existed during the Cretaceous period (144 to 65 million years ago), the same period when those dinosaurs would have been walking around Austin. This tour does not reflect all of the flowering elements of this garden, and we encourage you to visit it in person throughout the year to see all the natural wonders it has to offer. Please click the arrows to move around the Garden, and clicking the other icons will provide you with additional information about plants and Garden landmarks.
