Shed A Light explores the struggles and strengths of people and communities throughout the turbulent time of COVID-19. Created independently and remotely by people during Lockdown, with the support of Artist Nicola Lynch, the virtual and physical exhibition features 20 sheds that all tell a story.
“The shed is just a shape, a vessel if you like, for people to actually visualise what's going on for them, whether that's a treatment, recovery, their mental health and their mental well-being, whatever that may be. For a lot of people, it's taken them to a happy place.”
- Wendy Bulmer, Changing Lives
This project has been funded by an Arts Council Project Grant, supported by Newcastle Arts Development Team and Newcastle City Libraries.
